Life After Surgery

I've briefly talked about how I've broken my leg about a year ago, it was definitely one of the toughest experiences that I have faced. Everyone cares about you for about a week, but then the novelty wears off and your basically on your own. Post surgery was rough as I had a highly sensitive leg with plates and screws permanently apart of my body. Every time I moved my leg I could feel the foreign objects clinging themselves to my bones. One of my biggest worries at the time was if I would ever be the same.
A year later, I have made remarkable progress. I've obviously lost some spring in my step, but that is due to being inactive for 6 months. I'm glad that I have been able to resume my athletic activities as the metal in my leg has become a part of me. The restless nights where my leg would throb or tingle in pain are gone. I'm glad that science has come a long way.
